Cover Reveal: From Julia's Kitchen: Owen Family Cookery

Early next month I’ll publish an exciting new project: From Julia’s Kitchen: Owen Family Cookery. This ebook contains Julia Owen’s prized recipes, plus a note on each recipe telling about it.

Of course the idea that a fictional character has collected recipes, or “receipts,” as they were sometimes known in those days, is pure fiction, but the recipes are real. Is this book a fiction novel or a cookbook? I can't tell from the description.

    1. Hi Kathy! The cookbook contains real recipes. The part I have fictionalized is the concept that one of my characters collected them. That part is fiction. The introductions to the recipes are fiction. There is a scene after one recipe that is fiction. The recipes, or "receipts," as they were called in the olden days, are real and authentic and historical. Some are curiosities and probably would take a fair amount of experimentation to get right. Most of them, however, have been modified so you can make them with little trouble.

Thanks for coming over and for commenting.
